Guava

My artwork looks like a macro image of a guava. I called my painting "Guava" just to be basic. I mainly used grey and white with the obvious yellow orange color.
I made this painting from Acrylic paint. I used the basic paint brushes with a bit of matte gel to make the painting more thick.
I wasn't inspired by anybody but the whole reason I chose the fruit, guava, was because when I was in middle school there was this girl that would always give me her guava fruit and it always seemed the best when the guava fruit was given to me by her. The guava fruit is supposed to express happy experiences.
My goal as an artist is to become better at painting realistic fruit. This piece has helped me know how to make things seem round but realistic where the seeds are sticking to the fruit. This project is helping me with realism and 3-Dimensional objects.
The final piece is not what I imagined, mainly because the color of the painting is not similar to the color of the actual fruit. This piece will make me think more about using the right color and trying to create the perfect match of shade and light. I will also work on my project with one reference photo instead of three.
