Japanese Record
The Japanese record is a record with acrylic paint on it to create a japanese sea, scene. I started with the red sun that is popular in Japan because it is on Japan's country flag, then I made the see and added the silhouettes of the land and added the clouds, and then lastly, the cherry blossom tree.
The old Japanese art inspired my artwork because I would often see the art painted on yellow paper with writing going down the side next to the painting. I painted this because I thought it would fit my room perfectly over my record player to show that, where the record player is, is where the music is. Some goals as an artist is to get better at detail in small artwork to make the painting more powerful. This piece didn't exactly help me with that but I did have a lot of fun making it. The piece was like a little break towards to tough projects. The final piece is not what I imagined, but I never imagine the final piece when I paint. It did turn out really good though. This piece will influence future pieces to create more detailed pieces.
