Tragedy of Humanity

This artwork portrays a bird that has gotten shot and is trying to land on a wire line. The artwork was created from a straw that blew ink on the paper. Only two colors were used in the process; red and black. I used black india ink and I blew both the black ink and the red ink with a straw. At first I just let the world work its course and I blew the ink and then I saw how the artwork looked a lot like a flying bird so I added blood to show the sad horrors of exotic hungry humans. My goal for this artwork was to be less detail based and base my artwork out of chance. This piece helped me reach that goal. I was able to find and see a bird through something that I didn't think about when I blew the ink. This piece will influence my future artwork by making me focus more on sad and sometimes grueling things in real life because I have fallen in love with the way this message was shown through something as simple as a splatter of ink.
